“It doesn’t speak success,” Solo Deciphers Newly Released Album C.Plenty.Dreams. Today marks two full weeks since the debut release of Solo’s 3rd studio album C.Plenty.Dreams. With attempts of pushing it to an even broader audience, he explained what it’s all about and exactly what it aimed to depicts.

“C.Plenty.Dreams doesn’t speak to success, it speaks to the idea of success.” said Solo on his latest interview with the Plug publication. “God forbid, I might be in the exact same position right now and then I’ll just speak to what my idea of success is at that point; not attaining anything.

“Because the idea is that it’s a reflection of a period,” he added “I’ve told you what my idea of what success is, it doesn’t mean that I could reach it. It’s the concept of success, it’s what the concept of success does to people, in terms of what they do to attain it.”

The Two By Two rapper further expressed his reasons of making the music that he does and what inspires his will to put his art into rhymes and hooks.

“Everything I do: if I wake up, if I’m working on music, it’s because I love it. If I’m taking time to meditate and pray, or whatever it is, it’s because of my love of and my understanding of ancestry and all of these things.

“Family, giving of my time, is to – at whatever level – will be towards something that I love. I took this sit down to speak about the things that I love, you know what I mean? Everything is so intertwined.

“And that’s actually what the project is. I can definitely say to you ‘I’m not balanced. I just understand what my definition of success is.’ And it is that. And it will be this long-term plan to fight for this balance,” – Solo.
