Not only that, the Supa Mega’s father Uncle Tony Forbes has also developed a ritual that allows him to keep in touch with his beloved son. The 10th of February 2024 marked 1 year since the passing of the Supa Mega and his father expressed how difficult it is to come to terms with the passing of his son Kiernan Jarryd Forbes.

Taking to Instagram, Uncle Uncle Tony expressed that the past two weeks have been challenging, marking the anniversary of his son’s tragic passing. AKA‘s father said that he is resorting to nature to stay in connection with his son.

“These last 2 weeks were harder than I thought it would be, no matter that I have relived it over and over in the last 12 months. As I write this, I am sitting in my car outside my gate waiting for the white butterfly…I just saw it, it’s my ritual of asking him to show me he is with me. But it is harder than ever now, so many things don’t have meaning anymore.” Wrote Tony Forbes.

As the music community looks back on AKA’s legacy one year after his departure, Tony Forbes’s heartfelt remarks stand out, underscoring the lasting influence of the cherished musician.
