AKA’s Executive Producer Weighs In On JR’s Opinion Towards Artists’ Future. Idols SA returns for a new season with a new look at the panel of judges, with SA hip hop star JR making the most noticeable appearance.

JR‘s music expertise has undoubtedly landed him a position as a judge for one of Mzansi’s major music competitions. The rapper’s musical intellect has not only been acknowledged by the Idols SA organizers but is also well-known in the SA hip-hop fraternity.

Taking to Twitter, Richard  Mahogany who has worked with AKA and has vast experience in the SA music industry lauded JR’s inclusion on Idols SA. The well-known Executive Producer made it known that JR carries the right credentials when it comes to giving opinions on the future of musicians who are coming for auditions on Idols SA.

“It’s very tough listening to anyone but JR’s opinion on musicians and their future. It’s borderline insulting and patronizing. Like what are you talking about man?” Tweeted Richard Mahogany. Richard has established his brand through having a significant impact on the entertainment business and frequently serving as the creative director for well-known athletes. This clearly states that he is of the knowledge about what JR’s can offer when it comes to giving advice or opinion on the future of upcoming artists in Mzansi.

Richard has worked with the likes of AKA and according to SlikourOnlife, he was the Executive Producer for AKA’s Braai Show. He also collaborated with Yanga Chief to make his breakthrough hit tune Awuth Yam Remix and identified Lunatik and Nanette as new talents. Bando Entertainment, which he recently started, strives to create innovative fresh talent. The artist released his executively produced EP titled The Mahogany Tape in December last year which comes with 4-tracks.
