PdotO Opens Up About Feeling Unbelonging & Constant Criticism Towards Rappers. At times we get to hear how rappers feel only through music, when they express themselves away from the mic – it just means that things are real.
PdotO is one rapper to recently share raw views that seem to depicts how he feels as a rapper in SA hip hop. The thread was of how not everyone will love or support your music, and how rappers are highly sensitive to their craft.
“As Rappers we sensitive about our craft and care how its perceived and received. Understandable. But remember NOT everybody gon like You. NOT everyone gon care. Just focus on those that do,” he wrote.
He added on how artists often make the mistakes of seeking validation from the wrong people.
“We seek validation from the Wrong Hands. Set yourself free from that and Push for those you reach who appreciate it. Simple,” he added.
He ended off by citing a verse which best emphasizes his point of views.
“Alot of this shit makes for good talk,conversations, debates and keeps the game busy. But to All the Artist who work their ass off,blood sweat and tears in their craft and outside of it. Nobody Validates you but YOU And YOUR supporters. That’s the Diamond.”
