“I’m Not With The Tree,” Nadia Nakai Confirms She Left Family Tree

“I’m Not With The Tree,” Nadia Nakai Confirms She Left Family Tree! Family Tree’s long standing artist, Nadia Nakai has confirmed that she officially left the record label in a new interview with Slikour. This doesn’t really come as a shock if you’ve been following Cassper and Nadia, the two’s relationship didn’t seem the same as before for the past couple of months.

Nadia was asked by Slikour if she was still with Family Tree since she’s been noticeably MIA from the label’s events. Bragga responded confirming that she had left the label and how Cassper initially reacted when she broke the news to him and where their relationship stands now. “No, I’m not still with the tree, I’m working on my own record label at the moment. It is very tricky cause when I had the conversation with Cass I was so scared to talk to him, I was like, ‘listen, I need to do my own thing, I could feel like he was sad,” Nadia revealed.

“I think he hung up on me to be honest,” said Nadia with a chuckle. “Later on he thought out and he sent me a message and he was like… ‘okay, what do you need me to do? I think this is what you should do’. He gave me some record label name ideas and I was like nooo, we went back and forth. He advised me that I should sign my record label and not me individually which was good advice cause I initially was going to go direct like that. We still good but I think just like artist trajectory I have to do my own thing and stand on my own two feet and start my sh*t,” Nadia revealed.

Nadia admitted that things between her and Cassper had not been the same since she made an appearance on AKA’s Braai Show. “…We hadn’t seen each other in a while. After I did the Braai show we didn’t speak for like eight months so I got used to not talking to him much. But we good, we’ve always been good,” said Nadia who shared that she has met Cassper’s son Khotso.
