PdotO Confirms An Album Release This Year. New year means new music. SA hip hop will be aiming to take the culture to the streets with much noise this time after. The dominant of Amapiano has been a rude awakening to the most hip hop stakeholders in South Ah. This year we witnessed Malome Vector dropping the first hip hop album of the year and the rapper has paved the way for so many more to come.

The acclaimed rapper PdotO broke the news on his Twitter TL that he will be aiming to release what he labelled the ‘best album of the year’. “I will have the Best album this year . Amen,” he tweeted. PdotO has been working on new music since the release of his joint album with DJ Switch.

Upon the release of his tweet, it seemed like the rapper is not the only one who is working on a new hip hop project this year. Obviously a slew of rappers are working behind closed doors to produce good hip hop music. Responding to PdotO’s tweet, Blaklez also came out and responded “We’ll see” an indication that he is also working towards releasing an album this year. As if that was not enough Jay Jody added his two cents to the discourse and said, “We’ll see x2”.

Its only a matter of time before we witness the hip hop projects of these rappers as it looks like its going to be an incredible year for SA hip hop.
