Stogie T Says 2019 Has Been A Weak Year For SA Hip Hop
Stogie T Says 2019 Has Been A Weak Year For SA Hip Hop. If you could be given the platform to judge the state of South African Hip hop this year, what would you say?
On the latest episode of the August/October Verse Of The Month announcement aside from mentioning qualifying acts Stogie T shared sentiments on the state of SA hip hop in 2019.
In as much as we have had the successful Hip hop tracks in 2019 including Nasty C’s God Flow, Rouge’s Popular, AKA’s Main Ous and K.O’s Supa Dupa – Stogie T still feels like it was a weak year for SA hip hop this year. Even had a few album releases from Flame – CandyMan, K.O – PTYunLTD and YoungstaCPT – 3T to mention a few.
Also, Stogie has been announcing the winners of The Verse Of The Month in the previous months, included is Blaklez’s I Have No One, YoungstaCPT’s Old Kaapie and Reason’s July Freestyle at least – he still feels there’s so much that could’ve been done.
“I think everyone can agree that this year has been a little bit weak for SA Hip hop. There’s a couple albums that came out, congratulations to everyone that released an album,” he said.
