Here's What AKA Thinks About Claims That SA Hip Hop Is Dead

Here’s What AKA Thinks About Claims That SA Hip Hop Is Dead! 2019 has been a rather slow year for Hip Hop locally.

We have seen a few artists drop albums and Mixtapes which have held down SA Hip Hop in a country where Amapiano are dominating on every corner. We have had a couple of rappers drop songs that topped charts like K.O’s Say U Will single with Nandi Madida.

A fan recently went on twitter sharing his thoughts on the current state of SA Hip Hop saying that it is dead and asking other fans to pray with him that no other genre overtakes it. A fan then replied to the tweet tagging AKA asking him what he thought of the notion.

” My take is that SA Hip Hop has been around for like 15/10 years now. Let’s start there. How do you erase that in a year?,’ started Mega. He then went on to brag talking about how he is at the top of the charts on radio at the moment and has been holding SA Hip Hop down.
