How Sjava Had Ms Cosmo Saying Screw Burna Boy! Burna Boy was once a collaborative force with SA Hip Hop but it seems the relations have died down.
After the producer went on Twitter ranting about the Xenophobia that was going on, he got dragged by several South Africans including celebrities. JR recently took jabs at Burna Boy saying that he literally copies Fela Kuti’s music and makes it as his own.
It seems the whole xenophobia scandal really changed a lot of South Africans perception of Burna Boy. In a recent episode of the Popcast hosted by Ms Cosmo, DJ Vigilante, Scoop Mkhathini and DJ Speedsta, they spoke about Sjava’s One Night With Sjava concert.
During the conversation, there was a moment when Ms Cosmo compared Sjava to Burna Boy and cursed at Burna saying South Africa has it’s own superstar. “You know how everybody goes crazy for Burna Boy’s Anybody? I was like screw Burna Boy, Sjava,” started Ms Cosmo.
She then went on to explain that she just meant Sjava is a South African superstar and used Burna Boy as an example. Ms Cosmo was impressed by Sjava’s performance at his concert so much that she put him up against Burna Boy.
