Proverb Explains Why He Hasn’t Dropped Any New Music After So Long. It has been years since Proverb delivered new music and fans have been asking why he has been this quiet. Finally he replied.
Proverb is one of the legendary Hip hop musicians who in his primes dominated the genre and played part in escalating its status. The rapper debut his career back in 1999 and has dropped a total of three albums The Book of ProVerb, Manuscript and Write of Passage.
Ever since he ventured into the business and TV/Radio side of things, he took a step back in music. A fan asked when will he deliver. His response was subtle, it basically meant that he did make music is now focused on other things.
“Here’s an analogy: You spend time, effort, money, resources & 20 years of your life growing delicious apples. Nobody really buys apples & u & ur kids starve. So u burn down the apple farm & build a mall & ur kids own it. 5 years later someone asks you about an apple,” he wrote.
He added on how he left the seed that fans must nurture. “I left you the seeds so you can grow your own whenever you want. All the best.”
