Riky Rick Breaks Record In SA Hip Hop As #CottonFest’s Three Big Stages Get Sold Out! What they meant when they spoke about breaking barriers, setting standards and occupying space they must’ve reflected on Riky Ricky’s work ethic.
The Cotton King has become the first rapper to have two stages sell out tickets for his Cotton Festival. The event is set to take place on the 1st of February with an artist line-up that made it hard for fans to not attend.
What Riky has managed to pull together is new on SA Hip hop, firstly it brings together SA hip hop artists – the unity that is essential. It showcases Fashion and other ventures of growth in the culture. It’s not limited to just music but is an elevation that inspires and grooms.
The festival debuted last year and was a great success with rappers and fans expressing gratitude and appreciation at the good work Rick did. To take things up a notch he decided to use two stages – Newton, Carr Street. The concert will showcase over 100 acts on various stages.
“This year we will be elevating the musical experience, first because last year we had two stages, hence we decided to have three stages, where we have tried to share different vibes in those stages,” he said.
“So it’s going to be quite the experience for people, as they will be able to move around and … go in and out of the different stages a bit more and enjoy different styles of music,” he said last week speaking with TshisaLIVE.
