AKA Shares The Advice He Gave Rouge When Critics Wanted Her To Just Rap

AKA Shares The Advice He Gave Rouge When Critics Wanted Her To Just Rap! Rouge’s ‘One By One’ might not have shot straight to the top but it has been building up and climbing up the charts giving the rapper her first commercial chart hit.

The single features AKA. Upon it’s release critics voiced their disappointment on how to of the most talented rappers in South Ahh chose to sing on their collaboration. A fear Rouge had had prior to dropping the song.

AKA took to twitter Sunday night sharing how he convinced Rouge to follow her heart and not listen to critics who want her to remain one dimensional.

“I remember when you called me worrying about people saying they want the “rap” Rouge … I said, have you accepted the Mega as your Lord and Savior?,” AKA recalled revealing that Rouge expressed concern that she’d alienate who had been supporting her.

“I said … if this song flops do you wanna flop as who they think you are or do you wanna flop as yourself?,” he added.

AKA went on to add that critics tried to burn Rouge for expanding as an artist but couldn’t imagine people only knowing the rapper side of her artistry.

It wouldn’t be SupaMega if it ended with a little brag. “You’re welcome,” AKA responded to Rouge celebrating the song climbing the charts.
