The Johannesburg siblings shared their excitement on social media, admitting they never expected their second million-view video to be a love song. “Never thought our second MILLION views would be a love song😅 Thank you all SO much❤️,” they wrote, while tagging Clxrity and director Ally Benaire and giving glory to God.

Released as part of Clxrity’s 2024 EP It’s Clear to See, “The Wedding Song” highlights a softer side of MajorSteez. The collaboration leans into melodic R&B and Afro-pop influences, with its romantic focus on commitment, partnership and lasting love helping it connect with listeners beyond the duo’s traditional hip-hop audience.

The official visualiser, directed by Ally Benaire, was released in January 2025. Its latest milestone puts the song alongside MajorSteez’s “Asbonge” featuring Cassper Nyovest, which also surpassed one million views on YouTube.

While “Asbonge” showcased the brothers’ energetic hip-hop approach and gained significant attention through its TikTok presence, “The Wedding Song” has highlighted their versatility and ability to explore more intimate themes through music.

MajorSteez, made up of brothers Sihle and Sandile Mabena, have continued to expand their musical identity, moving between hip-hop, R&B and Afro-pop while maintaining a distinctly South African perspective.

The latest milestone also comes with a hint of more music on the way. Alongside celebrating the achievement, MajorSteez teased their continued work with Clxrity, writing “Siyeza!” as they pointed to another collaboration in the making.

For the brothers, crossing one million views for a love song adds another significant chapter to their growing catalogue and shows that their sound continues to reach audiences in different ways.
