K.O Reveals More On The Collapse Of Cashtime & An Unreleased Album Of Teargas . For years it has been a curiosity that has been a curiosity that it itched many fans on what really happened with Cashtime.

The Cashtime label dismantled in a manner that led to the public criticizing K.O. In addition to that he was also blamed for the separation of his former group Teargas.

Speaking to Drum Publication the Supa Dupa rapper who has been winning as a solo artist opened up. He shared how the Cashtime separation left him broken due to hearsay. When artists started leaving the stable, he couldn’t pick up the pieces and decided to focus on his hustle.

“I felt after everyone had left I was the one exposed to public scrutiny, which made me look like the bad guy because I was always at the forefront.”

K.O stated how he regrets keeping quiet at the time. “And I didn’t manage the scrutiny properly. I didn’t realise that my silence was feeding the gossip. I kick myself for not clearing the air. But we’ve moved on.”

In regards to Teargas, for the longest of time fans have been begging the rappers to reunite. After separating in 2013, in time the rappers decided to give fans just one more project. They were already in the finishing line when it unfortunately didn’t reach the public.

“Unfortunately when we were ready to announce a new album was happening, Ntukza went on a social-media rant about me not posting about his solo album release,” said K.O. “But he didn’t call me to tell me about the release. Had he phoned me, I would have gladly posted.”

In addition to the scandals that have shaped the life of Mr Cashtime, he still has passion to help groom upcoming stars.

“I’m not babysitting anyone. We are offering the platform [to artists] without spoon feeding them,” he says. That said, his first love is helping to groom talented newcomers.

“I come from a brotherhood with Teargas [the popular kwaito group, which was made up of K.O, Ntukza and Ma-E] and everything I am is about working and building others as I grow,” he says.

“People tell me to focus on myself but my gift is not just rap music. It’s also to create opportunities for young people to change their lives and feed their families,” he concludes.

K.O has since dropped an album PTYunLTD, a number of videos including Flight School, Say You Will and Supa Dupa. He has recently signed a first artist on the Skhanda World entity.
