Intaba Yase Dubai took to Facebook to complain about not receiving payment for his contribution to Mali Eningi. In his posts, he mentioned the difficult to have people thinking he’s doing great things while he’s struggling.

He stated that he dislikes spotlights because they require others to act as though everything is fine when only one person is enjoying. He published another post in which he claimed that the song has received over 12 million streams but that he has not received a single cent.

Following Intaba Yase Dubai’s claims, Big Zulu’s close friend Rashid Kay turned to Twitter and detailed what the two artists should’ve done to avoid the present royalties issue.

1. When the song was recorded, @intabayasedubai was not signed to @Ambitiouz_Ent 2. @intabayasedubai was supposed to also register the song with @SAMROMusic, @OfficialSAMPRA & @CapassoHub, and @BigZulu_ZN was supposed to include @intabayasedubai on the split sheet for royalties.” Tweeted Rashid Kay.

The incident unfolded, eliciting numerous reactions on the timeline. NOTA went on to comment on Rashid Kay’s tweet, calling him out as a phony. This came after the music executive accused Rashid Kay of failing to call out Big Zulu for neglecting to promote Intaba Yase Dubai after Mali Eningi became a hit song.

Rashid is a fraud… He’s always preaching about artists being exploited but he won’t call out Big Zulu. SMH.” Tweeted NOTA.
