With his contribution to Dumelang and Price To Pay it was evident that Malome Vector was ready to take the game by storm. Under the banner of Ambitiouz Entertainment, the Dikeledi chanter has recorded a flood of hip hop songs, most of which he performs in vernacular.

During a short interview on SABC’s Morning Live Show, Malome Vector took time to explain why he has chosen not to rap in English just like any other rapper in Mzansi. The rapper made it known that he doesn’t want to be anybody else and his aim is to say unique with his sound.

“My brother I don’t wanna be like anybody else, that’s the main thing,” he said. The rapper expressed that when he came into the game, he realised a gap that no one raps in Sesotho and he took that chance to close the gap in SA hip hop.

“I try to be different as much as I can. When I came into the game nobody was raping in Sesotho that much, so I was like I saw a gap and I was like let me fill up this gap and I’m trying to push I’m trying to show everybody who is behind me.” Explained Malome Vector.

The rapper draws inspiration from Lesotho’s rich musical legacy as well as hip-hop, with which he has a lengthy experience, having begun as a combat rapper.
