Reason Finally Responds To Claims That He’s Maphorisa’s Ghostwriter

Reason Finally Responds To Claims That He’s Maphorisa’s Ghostwriter. After much speculation about his role in Madumane’s hit verse on amapiano track, Izolo, rapper Reason is now setting things straight. The rapper has shared exactly where he stands when it comes to the ghostwriting claims levelled against him.

Madumane – who is DJ Maphorisa’s rap alter ego, has been the talk of the streets for his rap skills on the amapiano track, Izolo. Whilst fans have praised the award-winning producer for the verse there has been speculation that he is not the one who wrote the viral verse.

Radio personality Rashid Kay fuelled the ghostwriter speculation after he retweeted a video of the viral verse and wrote on Twitter “Dankie @ReasonHD for the ghostwriting”. At the time of Rashid’s tweet, Maphorisa and Reason had said nothing about the ghostwriting claims but fans were starting to see the possibility of the claims being true, as the two are working with each other.

DJ Maphorisa and Reason collaborated on Reason’s -who goes by the name Sizwe Alkaline- amapiano track, Khanda Shisa. In his latest tweet, Reason seems to be addressing the ghostwriting claims. He simply tweeted “I don’t ghost write. I co-write”. He made no mention of if he was speaking of Madumane’s viral Izolo verse but he could be directing his tweet at the recent claims.

DJ Maphorisa has not yet responded to the ghostwriter claims and just seems to be having fun with Madumane. He did tweet that he does crave to one day be featured on the list of South African Best Rappers Of All Time, indicating there is still more to come from Madumane in terms of rapping. DJ Maphorisa has even shared a snippet of an unheard Madumane verse, on a track that is yet to be released.
