Here’s How An Alleged Airtime Slip Assisted In The Arrest Of Suspects In AKA Murder Case. The arrest of five suspects in the AKA and Tibz murders has set tongues wagging. Mzansi was less convinced of the people apprehended by the police because the body types do not match what was seen on the CCTV footage.

According to IOL, The CCTV footage captured the alleged killers’ white Mercedes-Benz which they used as a getaway car after the shooting. The car was later discovered abandoned in a Durban township.

There are quite a number of factors that led the police to build a case leading to the arrest of the suspects. The publication revealed that the police did DNA tests and fingerprints on the car. They also found an airtime slip which belongs to one of the accused.

The sources close to the case as per the publication revealed that the police used an airtime slip to trace one of the girlfriends’ hitmen and interrogated her leading to the arrest.

Following the arrest of the suspect, AKA’s father Tony Forbes urged the public to allow the police to do their job and they are hoping to see positive things coming out from the investigations. “We would like to see justice being served and the perpetrators brought to book. He’s gone. Someone killed him. Right now, we are grieving. We are keeping an eye on developments in the news and hoping that something positive will happen,” Tony Forbes said as per News24.

The Forbes family also went on and released a statement asking AKA’s Megacy to practice patience as the investigation continues. “We are at a loss for words to describe our gratitude for the outpouring of love that we’ve received from the Megacy. We’ve seen people deeply hurt and angered by Kiernan’s murder and wanting justice. As a family, we empathise with the grief experienced and we understand your pain.” Read the statement.
