Black Twitter Debates On Who Deserved Best Hip Hop Album Award Nomination At The SAMAs26 Between Yanga Chief & Nadia Nakai. When it comes to awards there will always be debates on who was more deserving to be nominated.

The same debates brew up recently, when the nominees of Best Hip Hop Album of 2019 on the 26th annual award ceremony the South African Music Awards were released.

The nominated acts include YoungstaCPT’s 3T, Yanga Chief’s Becoming A Pop Star, Big Zulu’s Ungqongqoshe Wongqongqoshe, K.O’s PtyUnltd, and DJ Sliqe’s Injayami Vol.2. The list was judged to be bias by Cassper who said Nadia deserved to be on the list and implied she didn’t get in possibly because she’s female.

“Nadia Nakai shoulda been nominated for Best Hip Hop album at the Samas. I don’t know if it’s cause she a female or what but she dropped a great body of work and looking at the albums that made it, she atleast deserved a nomination. My 2 cents.”

After the outcry from Nadia and Cassper number of fans chimed in sharing that instead of Yanga Chief it would’ve been Nadia who got nominated.

Some fans came through to defend Yanga’s nomination.
