Did Rashid Kay Just Refer To Shane Eagle As An As*hole?

Did Rashid Kay Just Refer To Shane Eagle As An As*hole? SA Hip Hop Awards co-founder and rapper Rashid Kay recently challenged the views PH Raw and Scoop Makhathini put forward about the OG’s and new wave rappers.

Earlier on PH Raw decided to deliver a thread which detailed his views on the relationship between older and new rappers. He echoed on Scoop’s sentiments that there is a distinct division amongst rappers of different eras, and that the OG’s fail to set a good example.

“I’ve witnessed so many studio session where the OG is always trying to ensure he is respected by the wave, it always becomes a student teacher session…AND THAT SUCKS. It should be Artist to Artist, mutual respect on the art not your longevity or time in the game. We talk about the OGs supporting the new wave. THAT SHIT DONT HAPPEN ENOUGH,” wrote PH.

In response to the controversial view, Rashid made it clear from his stand point that in Hip hop it’s not about old rappers disrespecting the young, it depends on how a person is not their age. He further on made an example of a time where Shane Eagle reacted unfavourably when Scoop tried to halla at him.

“I disagree with Scoop. Anymosity has nothing to do with ageism. AKA vs Cassper or A-Reece vs Nasty C is not about age. When Scoop tried to halla at Shane Eagle, the response was ‘you’re not even verified’. No such thing as OGs vs Youngins. Some people are assholes, young or old,” wrote Rashid.
