"Most Of My Rhymes Fly Over Their Heads" Cassper Credits fan For Understanding His Music

Although many may beg to differ, Cassper Nyovest has some very deep verses in his music that  are consciously relatable and resonate with actual life events to some degree, but is so often misunderstood or unacknowledged.

A fan who clearly appreciates the rapper for his smart and witty punchlines took to twitter and shared some light on a line from Cassper’s song “Nobody Knows” taken of his “Any Minute Now” album, where he compares the hate that he receives as a successful black man to a massacre that happened in Rosewood, Florida where many white racists killed the black community and burned down the town in 1923.

““Y’all killed me for 400 years and now I kill mics. Including Rosewood y’all killed me for 450” – Cassper

The rapper responded to the fan who clearly did his homework, thanking him for the recognition as most of his conscious raps fly over many heads, even though he seems to think he is quite gifted in the art of conveying real life situations and messages in his lyricism.

“Didn’t think anybody would get it. Most of my rhymez fly over thier heads. Especially the conscious shit. I’m really nice with this shit. ” – Cassper wrote.

The song which features Apu Sebekedi Bas and YoungstaCPT whom is also one of many talented Mzansi conscious rappers, speaks about the trials and tribulations that black people have overcome since the days when they were lynched and oppressed for the color of their skin.
