With 2023 now upon us and the year is poised to be more exciting than the latter. The likes of AKA, Emtee, and Sjava are already giving out the best music of their career starting right away in the first month of the year.

Sjava

Sjava Praises Two UK Producers Who Remotely Worked On His Track 'Umcebo'

Talk of one of the most loved SA rappers in the game, Sjava will be up there in the list and the rapper has never taken love for granted. Following a successful one-man show in Durban towards the end of last year, the rapper is buoyant to kick off 2023 on a high. Sjava is set to release his album titled “Isibuko.” The rapper announced that his body of work will be available on the 27th of January 2023.

AKA

In 2022 AKA gave his fans what they should anticipate from his album Mass Country. The rapper dropped 2 lead singles in Lemons Lemonade and Paradise and this year he is in full swing to deliver the whole project. Since the award-winning rapper was set to release on the same day as fellow rapper Sjava, AKA made a u-turn on his release. The World Is Yours hitmaker announced that his body of work will be released on the 24th of February and fans are eagerly waiting for whats the Supa Mega cooked.

Emtee

DIY 3 has been in motion for a while now and it’s only now up to Emtee to decide when the project will be released. The rapper was supposed to drop his album last year but he made a decision to move the release date to 2023. Now that 2023 is upon us its still not clear when DIY 3 will be made available since there is no official release date. But taking from what Emte has been saying, the album will surely be dropped this year.

Blxckie

Ever since his cameo to the SA hip hop scene Blxckie has been rocking the airwaves and the streets and 2023 might not be an exception. Last year Somnyama teamed up with K.O and Young Stunna and created the biggest song in Mzansi. The rapper also dropped his own project that justified why he is amongst the best SA rappers right now. Blxckie dished out “B4Now” Deluxe version and “THE4MULA” and this year he has already started working towards new music after he called out Emtee for a collaboration.

A-Reece

Following the launch of the record label Revenge Records towards the end of last year, A-Reece will be poised to release new music under his own stable. His level of consistency last year was exceptional and Slimes will be looking forward for more and much better this year. With a possibility of a collaboration with AKA this year, SA hip hop fans should be in a for a massive treat as the Megacy and Slimes might join forces in the game.
