Uncle Vinny Reveals The New School Rappers Who Carried SA Hip Hop During Lockdown

Uncle Vinny Reveals The New School Rappers Who Carried SA Hip Hop During Lockdown. The lockdown might have been a downer for many but on the flip side, this made way for some of our favourite artists to show up and show out with some new music.

Although many rappers felt that this was the time to take a back seat from releasing major projects because promoting would be an issue, the new school cats have been taking the opportunity to launch their careers.

In the latest episode of MTV’s SA Hottest MC’s 2021, Uncle Vinny was the spokesperson for the new era of hip hop in claiming that the peoples favourites which include Lucasraps, Blxckie, Shouldbeyuang put in a lot of work to keep the local hip hop going through the tough times.

“They carried SA hip hop, they released more records and freestyles everyday” Vinny said.

Fellow guests who were on the show disagreed with Vinny in saying that the old school rappers also put in work and it makes no sense in comparing legends with new era hip hop rappers.

Vinny unapologetically stood by his argument which resonated with hip hop heads who are in agreement and have now called for Vinny to be made president.

Vinny has since explained the reason he got so heated during the conversation and that is because he was fighting the same battle during the ad breaks

Lucasraps has also responded to the clip that has gone viral in describing Vinny as a real one. The masses have also sung praises for Vinny and we can’t help but think that Vinny might just be the new school hip hop representative.
