Emtee is the latest rapper to come out and revealed when he will call it quits with rapping. Taking to Twitter, Emtee stated that he wants to stop rapping at the age of 50. “Ima stop rapping when I’m 55 years old,” tweeted Emtee.

Despite mentioning when he wants to retire, Emtee made it clear that in the interim he will continue pushing the music. The rapper claimed that everything he is going to do he will be doing it for his late idol AKA. “Ima do it for kiernan,” he tweeted.

Emtee and AKA worked together very well in the SA Hip hop game. The father of two made it clear that AKA is the one that made it possible to be recognized in the culture. This came after the Supa Mega featured on Roll Up (Re-up) alongside Wizkid. “Everybody looked down on me cos I was poor till I got AKA on a song,” tweeted Emtee.

Following the release of the long-awaited Mass Country album, fans were elated to learn that Emtee also contributed to the project. The self-proclaimed Hustler featured with AKA on the song Crown which has garnered a massive reception among SA Hip hop followers.

Emtee is also yet to release an album this year and his fans have been patiently waiting for the project following numerous postponements. The rapper is yet to announce the release date for DIY 3 along with the intel of his body of work. But he has given fans assurance that he will deliver the best music project. “DIY3 is the talk of nation. Sh*t a nigga gotta deliver but yall know how I do,” tweeted Emtee.
