SAMRO Promises To Make Companies Pay For Using Songs Like Mali Eningi To Promote Their Businesses #ImaliEningiChallenge. SAMRO has always come to the defense of artists in South Africa who deserve money that is owed to them! This time around they certainly aren’t playing games.

Award winning musician Master KG recently made headlines for taking stand and defending his viral hit Jerusalema featuring Nomcebo Zikode. Master KG is claiming his royalties from all the companies that used his song to promote their brands.

The Southern African Music Rights Organization NPC,(SAMRO) mentioned that if a company used a song like Jerusalema in a video to promote their company, they will be sending the company a bill for making use of the track.

Rashid Kay took to twitter to share his feeling toward Master KG’s moves and encouraged Big Zulu to do the same with his viral track Mali Eningi featuring Intaba Yase Dubai and Riky Rick.

He tweeted, “Big Zulu did you hear? SAMRO says All these companies, production houses, soccer teams… are gonna pay for using those songs for #ImaliEningiChallenge #JerusalemaChallenge“.

Thousands of South Africans have used Big Zulu’s track Mali Eningi in their videos. UCT Vice-Chancellor Mamokgethi Phakeng used the track with a group of PhD students and cast members from SABC 2’s show Muvhango were amongst the people who used the track.

Rashid Kay has always made it a point to give Big Zulu his flowers where he deserves them. He has repeatedly stepped in and defended Big Zulu where he needs too.

He previously said that rappers should give credit to him for introducing certain vocabulary to SA hip-hop. He specifically made reference to the words “ushuni” and “inkabi”.

He also previously advised The Ama Million hitmaker not to make a remix for his it song Mali Eningi.
