Kwesta Explains Why Zola 7’s Verse Didn’t Make His New Album
Kwesta Explains Why Zola 7’s Verse Didn’t Make His New Album. Multi platinum selling rapper Kwesta has a long list of collaborations to his name both locally and internationally. The rapper has worked with the likes of AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Mlindo The Vocalist, Rick Ross, and Wale. He hoped to an OG rapper feature but it didn’t work out.
The Fire in the Ghetto rapper recently released his new album g.o.d Guluva with a monster list of features. In a quick interview with Zkhiphani about 5 things people should know about his new album he mentioned that Zola 7 was supposed to feature on the fifth track of the album Nthabiseng.
He revealed that someone ‘corrupted’ his verse and that’s why it didn’t make the album but he said he’ll save it for something else. Nthabiseng does feature star producer and rapper Makwa.
Other features on the album include Yanga Chief, TLT, Troublle, K.O, Focalistic, Bassie, Reason, Kid X, Thabsie, Zingah and Umzulu Phaqa. Reason is also a feature on the album and mentioned that the song he’s featured on fully expresses how much he loves Reason. He thanked Kwesta for being a brother from another mother another to him.
He mentioned in a previous interview that people will be able to hear his growth in the album from the person who made DaKar II to who he is now. He mentioned that he does address a few tough issues in the album but the tone of it is quite positive.
Kwesta has already dropped visuals for his single Fire in the Ghetto directed by Ofentse Mwase but hasn’t revealed if he plans to drop any more music videos from the project. He hinted at releasing more than one project in 2021 but only time will tell if he will actually drop the project.
