Toya Delazy Responds To News Report Claiming She Has Faded Away From Stardom. SAMA award winning artist Toya Delazy has since relocated to London after her success in South Africa and is making waves in the United Kingdom. The multi talented artist has built a solid fan base for herself overseas over the years. She takes to social media to react to two conflicting news reports about her career.

Delazy took to her twitter page to share two contrasting news reports about how her career is going. The one news report is from Complex UK that praises her recently released music video for her single Resurrection. The headline read, “South Africa’s Toya Delazy is loud enough to raise the dead in the “Resurrection” video.”

The other news report was done Sunday World that listed in their words, “Stars who faded in front of our eyes“. Delazy was apart of the list alongside other stars, Wright Ngubeni, Boom Shaka’s Junior, Monica and Brandy. She laughed off the two reports that came out on the same day, and says she is being slept on.

Delazy recently scored herself a SAMA nomintation for Best Produced Music Video for her music video Qhawe x Made To Create. The video was produced by Kyle Lewis and Vjorn Tucker.

She has been quiet on the music front lately but has been delivering high quality singles for her fans. The rapper’s last album dropped in 2017 and was titled Uncommodified. The 16 track album was her third studio album which she dropped independently under her label Delazy Entertainment.

Resurrection was her first single of 2021 and is from her upcoming EP Afrorave Vol. 1. She is yet to drop a release date for the EP.
