Facetime hit maker Flvme was having an exchange with a tweep on Twitter speaking about his beef with Emtee where the tweep challenged him about Emtee’s album Logan. The two then spoke about Flvme’s album CandyMan and said that the OGs named his album ‘Album Of The Year’. The tweep corrected him in saying that Youngsta’s album 3T bagged album of the year in 2019.
Flvme wrote that Youngsta told him that he was scared and he was convinced that Flvme would get the award. Youngsta responded to the tweet writing that Flvme should look at it from the Cape Town perspective. There are only two other people who have won a South African Hip Hop award and those two people are DJ Ready D and Emile YX. He said that he even expected Nadia Nakai to win for her album.
“Awe ’m actually still shook…Look at it from Cape Town tho, Flvme won 2 that night! Nobody from CPT EVER won a SAHHA! Period! Other than DJ Ready D and Emile YX whom are pioneers! I even thought Nadia would win…I knew my album was the best, doesn’t mean I expected to win“.
