3 Rappers Dominating YouTube’s Music Video Trending List. Music Videos have become an important part of music releases for SA Hip Hop. Usually music videos appeal to wider audiences than just the music seeing as it is a visual depiction of the track.
As more rappers are expected to drop more music in the upcoming months, they are feeding their fans music videos in the mean time. Here are three rappers who are currently dominating YouTube’s Music Video Trending List
Cassper Nyovest – Siyathandana Featuring Boohle & Abidoza
Cassper leads the pack with his Siyathandana music video. Cassper teamed up with Boohle and Abioza for the amapiano hit. The music video has been released for a little over 4 days and has already hit over 600k views. This is Cassper’s first video from his upcoming album Sweet & Short 2.0 that drops on the 30th of June.
Cassper has lined up some of Amapiano’s finest talents for his upcoming album. The feature list includes the likes of Lady Du, Samthing Soweto, DJ Sumbody, and Kammu Dee.
Nasty C – Jack
Nasty C recently dropped his single Jack produced by fellow SA Hip-Hop star Flvme. Flvme had mentioned that he had been sending Nasty C beats since 2016 and he is happy that he was finally able to produce a record for him. The music video for Jack was shot in the United States and is number two on the YouTube trending list. The music video has raked in over 425k views.
Nasty is said to be working on new music with a number of American rappers with only a feature on a Dave East song confirmed so far.
Blxckie Ye x4 Featuring Nasty C
Blxckie has been SA Hip Hop’s notable breakout star for 2021. His single Ye x4 is off his debut album B4Now that has also been dominating charts and is currently at number one on the Apple Music charts. Blxckie’s Ye x4 is at number 6 at just over 320k views.
Blxckie mentioned that there are plans to release more music in the coming months. He also a collaboration with Vic Mensa sitting in his vault!
