Music Video Director Ofentse Mwase Shares Which SA Rapper Was The Most Difficult To Work With On A Music Video Set

Music Video Director Ofentse Mwase Shares Which SA Rapper Was The Most Difficult To Work With On A Music Video Set. Ofentse Mwase has worked with some of SA’s top rappers on their music videos and always delivered clean and stylish visuals to go along with their singles. The award winning director is exclusively sharing with MacG who the most difficult rapper was to work with!

Ofentse Mwase and his wife Nelisiwe Mwase were MacG’s latest guest on the Podcast and Chill series. The three got into a number of topics including how they met at film school, and how they felt being selected for the YouTube Black Voices Class alongside other South African YouTubers.

Having made plenty of music videos over the years for a number of South African artists, MacG asked Ofentse who the most difficult SA rapper to work with was. Although he hesitated to reveal the name he eventually gave it up saying that it was L-Tido.

L-Tido was difficult yoh! hayi, that homie! I think the biggest thing was budgeting. I would tell him, I’m just giving an example the video is gonna cost 60K. He’d be like “what?“”

I think it was him, other than that the people in the industry are not difficult. I think maybe it’s a thing of respect. They respect us cause they know the brand, they know that we deliver.” He added.

After MacG made a joke saying that L-Tido has no money, Ofentse and Nellisiwe told him Twitter would cancel him again for his comment.

MacG asked him how much he charged for a music video and mentioned that his videos start from R30 000 but it depends on what the artist needs for the video.

He has shot for the likes of Emtee, Big Zulu, Kwesta, Yanga Chief, Reason, DJ Sliqe, Ms Cosmo, and Moozlie.
