Sol Phenduka On Big Xhosa’s Collaboration With IFani: “Why Would Big Xhosa Do That?”
Sol Phenduka On Big Xhosa’s Collaboration With IFani: “Why Would Big Xhosa Do That?”. Big Xhosa came into the industry guns blazing, turning everybody’s heads with his diss track to SA Hip Hop NINYILE. The rapper has since released a few other singles that have blown up. His latest single has Sol Phenduka slightly confused and asking a few questions.
On the latest episode of Podcast and Chill, Sol Phenduka, Ghost Lady and MacG got into a number of topics including Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha’s new addition to their family, and spoke a little about AKA’s upcoming song that he teased some time ago.
MacG asked Sol and Ghost Lady if they had heard Big Xhosa’s latest single featuring iFani. Sol passionately answered, “THAT SH*T IS TRASH BRO! THAT SH*T IS TRASH“. He continued saying, “Even the title itself is disgusting. Why would Big Xhosa do that? Big Xhosa was onto something. I mean he still is.“
When MacG asked what iKuku Endala meant, Sol clarified that did not mean old chicken as Ghost Lady mentioned but it meant old p*ssy. MacG said when he saw the music video for the track he thought it was terrible.
Sol then said, “I mean look, we don’t take Big Xhosa as like a serious rapper that was never the intention. He’s a gimmick, and I mean the diss track wasn’t even serious but it made us laugh. I was expecting something like that, but that thing is not laughable. iKuku Endala, it’s just bad music and it’s bleh.” “It leaves a bad taste in the mouth.“
He further mentioned that even though the aim was to get people talking about the track, he still feels in his opinion that it’s not a good song.
iFani had mentioned that he didn’t want Big Xhosa to go down the same path he did in the industry and wished him all the success.
