Is This Cassper’s Response To DJ Speedsta Critiquing His Sneaker Brand? Cassper recently launched his sneaker brand, Root of Fame 990 under his new partnership with Drip Footwear. The reception has been mostly positive from the rapper’s fanbase and some of his industry peers but his critics have also been loud.
One of the critics was DJ Speesdta who Cassper has been “beefing” with since 2020. Speedsta tweeted after the launch that whilst he resepected the hustle, he will personally not wear the sneaker. “Respect to the hustle. lol… That’s about it. I personally wouldn’t wear these,” Speedsta tweeted.
It looks like Cassper responded to Speedsta’s shade without mentioning names. Taking to twitter, Cassper tweeted how he will focus on making more money and ignore the critics. “The only way you can reply to someone who isn’t doing anything tangible is by talking about how broke they are and how rich you are which makes you look bad to people that actually respect you so don’t do it. Just keep stacking your paper. Stay on the grind! Keep working,” he tweeted.
“I just keep stacking my paper. The truth is in the Bank account my guy. Don’t ever let these people convince you that they wouldn’t trade thier lives for yours. They wish they were in your position and they don’t know how to express it so they try get your attention with insults,” Cassper added.

It’s not all hate from Cassper’s industry peers. Sizwe Dhlomo and DJ Warras sang the rapper’s praises applauding Cassper for playing the game to perfection. “Cassper has played the game to perfection! Never set a foot wrong! There’s something in that dome,” Sizwe tweeted. Warras responded in agreement saying, “Before the Dome – the guy had a vision. I remember speaking to him and T-Lee in Bloem. At Cubana … gushes he was 1 month old. And the plan was already constructed. @casspernyovest – and here we are. Take a Bow Nyovi.”
