Nadia Nakai Reveals Why She Went On AKA’s Braai Show! When Nadia Nakai appeared the season finale guest on AKA’s hit talk show on SABC 1, ‘The Braai Show’, it raised a lot of eyebrows and concern over Nadia Nakai’s relationship with Cassper considering that AKA and Cassper do not get along.

Over the years we’ve witnessed Nadia and Cassper being the ‘Family Tree’ dynamic duo even after most of the label’s artists like Gemini Major and Tshego left. Their loyalty to each other seemed strong and unbreakable but did that all change because of Nadia going on the Braai show? Bragga admitted in an interview with Slikour that she and Cassper did not speak for eight months after the Braai show episode happened. Back in March, Nadia revealed during a Q&A with fans how she had not told Cassper she was going to do the show. “Well, I didn’t tell him and I haven’t seen him in a couple of months so.. I don’t know,” she said at the time.

Now Nadia is revealing why she went on the show to begin with despite her loyalty to AKA’s nemesis, Cassper. Nadia, who announced in the same interview that she had left Family Tree to launch her own label said it was solely her decision to do the show despite speculations that it was motivated by her manager and best’s romantic relationship with AKA’s best friend, Rich Mahogany.

“He (Cassper) didn’t understand the status of the relationship of what was going on. He saw Rich was dating my best friend/manager, obviously Rich is very close to the SupaMega. That wasn’t even the reason why I did the Braai show because Phindi (her manager/best friend) met Rich when I was doing the Braai Show. It was a decision I made for myself because I felt like I wanted to expand myself. Even though he’s my brother and I’ll always support him and I’ll always have his back, I needed to expand myself a little bit more because I need to be seen as somebody that’s platonic. He’s my n*gga and you can never disrespect him in front of me. Even in the interview you can see AKA doesn’t… he’s not spicey, he knows that he can’t go there with me, you can’t disrespect Cass in front of me. It wasn’t that type of nature (the interview),” Nadia said adding that she didn’t want to pretend as if she doesn’t talk to AKA when they bump into each other.

“Cassper has never been to my new crib. I’ll go there (Cassper’s house) all the time if I need something,” Nadia said on knowing that she’ll always be cool with Cass.
