Cassper Explains Why He’s Convinced That Most SA Rappers Will Suffer In The Near Future

Cassper still advises artists to own their masters after Kanye's outcry

Cassper Explains Why He’s Convinced That Most SA Rappers Will Suffer In The Near Future. One of the most vital topics in the industry has been the matter of owning masters, seeing how it has destroyed artists having their masters owned by labels – fellow musicians have been urging each other to take ownership.

American rapper Kanye West was signed into a globally known recording label Universal Records, he released a number of albums including Late Registration & Graduation which elevated  his music career to a point where he ranked first as the wealthiest rapper on Forbes. Unfortunately after going independent, it became hard for him to buy back his masters which he plans to sign over to his children.

“EVERYONE AT UNIVERSAL AND VIVENDI PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY LEGAL POWER AND USE MY VOICE UNTIL ALL ARTIST CONTRACTS ARE CHANGED STARTING WITH GETTING MY MASTERS FOR MY CHILDREN I WILL NOT STOP I PROMISE YOU IM AM PETTY AND VERY PERSONAL,” wrote Kanye who attempted to sue the stable last year.

When Ye shared that Universal was refusing him a price to his masters Cassper decided to redirect the topic straight to SA Rappers. Mufasa made it clear  that enjoying the good things while you don’t own your masters will definitely make your life’s work worthless.

“This gone be a few SA rappers 10, 20 years from now. Fighting with Majors to buy thier masters back. After all the fame , the money , the glory , the radio number 1s!!!! You will be left with nothing to show but Plaques if you don’t get your business right from the get go,” wrote Mufasa.
