Gigi Lamayne recently sat down with Ms Cosmo on POPradio and spoke more about her album, her spiritual journey and how it all fits into her career. During the interview, the ladies spoke about Gigi’s spirituality and how fans view the rapper on social media and the kind of expectations they have for her.

The rapper has been open up about her spiritual journey with her followers and has shared her experiences on social media about how she took time off from music to focus on her journey. During her interview with Ms Cosmo, Gigi shared how she merges her image and her spirituality and also revealed how she was once forced to look a certain way by a former label.

Ms Cosmo shared with the award-winning rapper, as they spoke about Gigi’s journey “…that also comes with different types of thinking with regards to who you are, how you’re supposed to represent yourself, how you’re supposed to represent your spirituality but then that also kind of ties in with how people also kind of viewed you even on social media where they said no people are forcing Gigi to kind of look a certain way, they’re changing her appearance and then on one end they’ll also then say okay but are you allowed to dress like this because now wena sothwasile.”

The Hip Hop DJ then asked the rapper, “How does that all kind of come together for you and your head are you still very much angina ndaba or is it a case of I’m still being me even though I am putting it together?” Gigi responded to Ms Cosmo and said “I am them, they are me,” referring to her ancestors.

Ms Cosmo also added “and you weren’t forced” to her question. “Absolutely no, absolutely not,” Gigi responded but also then asked Ms Cosmo “how do you mean?” but then added “I was forced by certain places I was signed at to look a certain way but now uGigi enimbonayo, it’s definitely me.
