Zingah Reveals His Biggest Issue With Hip Hop

Being a hip hop artist in South Ah sure does come with its own set of problems, so issues may not bother an artist as much as others. Rapper Zingah has shared with his fans and followers his biggest issue when it comes to SA Hip hop and it seems is one that many people can relate to. Money is important to any working person as bills must be paid and Zingah has highlighted the struggle hip hop artists face when it comes to the bag.

Zingah in a tweet wrote, “my biggest issue with SA Hip Hop is that it pays in compliments”. Zingah is not about being paid with compliments and would rather take home an actual cheque than a “you a dope artist” compliment. His sentiments are the same as artists who say that exposure does not pay the bills. A tweep, who agreed with Zingah shared that there is a huge public misconception that hip hop artists are coining in it, whereas that is not the case.

The tweep shared that instead of fans paying their favourite hip hop artists compliments they should be demanding that hip hop artists are booked at their favourite spots of leisure. He also advised fans to buy and stream artists instead of downloading them on bogus music sites. “And people think you guys are coining it heavily when they pay compliments instead of demanding you guys to be booked at their places of leisure. Actually buy & stream your music instead of downloading on bogus music sites,” read his tweet.

Another tweep who didn’t agree with Zingah said that the hip hop artist’s biggest issue is that he doesn’t have a hit single so that hip hop can pay him cash. The tweep went on to advise Zingah to make a catalogue of hits and not what he is currently releasing. “Nah bra your biggest issue is that you don’t have a hit single so that hip-hop will pay you ka cash, make a catalog of hits not these things you release and call hit mara the streets an’t vibing anyway let me thul,” read the tweet.

The tweep must be sleeping on Zingah and was asked by another tweep, what about the plaque Zingah recently received after he claimed that the streets do not know Zingah. The artist recently received his first-ever Gold plaque for his single Dlala, for the record Zingah worked with DJ Maphorisa, showing that he is definitely known in the hip hop streets.
