Da L.E.S Reveals Why He Never Wants To Work With Bongani Fassie Again

Da L.E.S Reveals Why He Never Wants To Work With Bongani Fassie Again. It seems there is no hope for Da L.E.S working relationship with Bongani Fassie to ever be repaired. The two rappers came up together in the South Ah music industry and both gained fame as part of a group called Jozi. The group eventually split and went their separate ways. The former members Ishmael, Da L.E.S Bongani and Crazy Lu went on to pave out careers for themselves.

However, over the years it has become evident that Da L.E.S does not have a good relationship with former Jozi member Bongani whose turmoils have been well documented in the media. Da L.E.S on the latest episode of Lasizwe’s YouTube show, Drink or Tell The Truth shared that he will never work with Bongani again. Lasizwe asked, “For the years that you have been in the industry, who is that one person you will never wanna work with again and why?”

Da L.E.S answered the question honestly and did not hold back his truth. “I am going to be honest, Bongani Fassie. Even though we started together I just don’t wanna work with him ever again.” The rapper was then asked why by Lasizwe and Da L.E.S further explained. “I just surpassed that stage in my life…Over the years there has just been a lot of back and forths and a lot of lies and at some point in your life as a grown-up, you need to be able to say ‘you know what, I am okay I will catch you, and I am not shy to say it, it is what it is. let’s keep the energy like that.”

In a previous interview with Mac G, Da L.E.S shared more about his fallout with Bongani, which happened after Da L.E.S stayed signed on to Jozi’s former record label which Bongani felt was screwing them over. “I come from a skating background and I really fell under the wing of Bongz. I threw myself into the music thing and we had break-ups. I mean Bongz was left because he felt that the label was screwing us and I decided to stay to finish the contract. That broke his heart he felt I may have broken his heart for choosing to stay with the label, I should’ve been riding with him,” explained the rapper. The North God also added, “My pain started to occur when I was like damn this guy brought me into this shit and he’s not listening to me. When he left a lot of pressure was on me.”
