Removal Of A-Reece From Yanga Chief’s Famous Friends Line Up Has Slimes Asking Questions. Yanga Chief on Thursday evening shared the line-up for his upcoming for his next upcoming Famous Friends event. The lineup consists of several names in SA Hip Hop. The upcoming Famous Friends is open to fans of the genre. Some of the artists on the line-up are well-known SA Hip Hop and some are still coming up in the game. Famous Friends is Yanga Chief’s initiative to unite SA Hip Hop artists, the first event had several names in the SA Hip Hop vibe out together and just remember that at the end of the day, it’s all about the music.
Yanga Chief shared an updated version of the event that didn’t include A-Reece and fans noted the rappers exclusion and took to Yanga’s comment section to find out why. When it comes to A-Reece, the Slimes, his supporters, they ride hard for their favourite South Ah rapper. So his removal of course left some wondering what happened. One fan even noted that seeing A-Reece on the lineup was a huge push for them to consider attending but now that he is no longer performing, they are beginning to reconsider. Yanga Chief, however, during his interview with SlikourOnLife cleared up the air, as to why A-Reece was no longer attending.
Yanga explained to Slikour that when it came to putting the lineup together, he and his team tried to reach out to as many SA Hip Hop artists and DJs as possible. Some people were keen and some were unable to make it. “We really like tried to reach out to like everybody bro but like some people aren’t keen, some people aren’t available, they’ll come to the next one. So that’s why it currently keeps changing from party to party, it depends on the availability and other things,” explained Yanga Chief. The Famous Friends Instagram account also responded to a few comments on Yanga’s initial post and explained that A-Reece is unfortunately no longer available.
The multi-award-winning rapper while curating the lineup for his next Famous Friends event had asked his followers who would they like to see at the next event. “What do y’all wanna see at the next FamousFriends event??” asked Yanga Chief, on his Instagram Q&A. One fan told Yanga Chief that they wanted to see Cassper Nyovest at the next event. Yanga responded “for sure” to the fan, however, it seems he was unable to get the rapper to attend as his name is not on the poster.
