Riky Rick Tells SA Hip Hop Critics The Culture Is Moving With Or Without Them

Riky Rick Tells SA Hip Hop Critics The Culture Is Moving With Or Without Them. Riky Rick is tired of all the comments from critics about SA Hip Hop and he is finally letting his opinion known. The buzz around on the streets is that SA Hip Hop is dead, the debate has been a hot one on social media and many people have weighed on the current state of Hip Hop in the country. Hip Hop in South Ah has evolved and as the new artists continue to enter the game, things are shifting

Riky Rick has been in the Hip Hop game for some time now and he is known to be the “Godfather” to the young rappers on the SA Hip Hop scene. Riky is one rapper that has been credited by new wave rappers as offering them a hand when it comes to moving in the South Ah Hip Hop streets. Riky Rick when it comes to SA Hip Hop will defend it against the negativity and his latest post on his Instagram stories is a clear indication as to where Riky stands. Taking to his Instagram stories, Riky reposted a post from DJ, Henry. Wockstar and in his caption wrote that those complaining about SA Hip Hop should relax. “You guys are too busy complaining saying Hip Hop is dead… Relax”.

Riky Rick went on to advise those who are saying SA Hip Hop is dead to step outside their comfort zones and notice that the culture is moving. Riky went on to remind critics that the culture is moving with or without them. “Step out of your house once in a while… The culture is moving…. With or without you…” wrote Riky. It is unclear who Riky’s comments are directed at as several people, from SA Hip Hop fans to insiders have shared sentiments claiming that the genre is dead.

It is however worth noting that Riky finally broke his silence on SA Hip Hop following Cassper Nyovest tweeting that he would be dropping a hip hop track this September. However, Cassper had also been silent for a while and is even out of the country, currently taking Amapiano to the world. Rapper Yanga Chief had tweeted his thoughts on what is killing SA Hip Hop. Yanga Chief explained that DJ sets consisting of 90% American Hip Hop contributed to killing the genre. “90% American hip hop sets also killed SA Hip Hop,” tweeted the rapper. Yanga received major flack for his statement, especially from SA Hip Hop DJs.
