Sjava Gets Eliminated From Cape Town International Jazz Festival Line-Up Due To Rape Accusations. The rape accusations brought forward by Sjava’s ex lover singer Lady Zamar have started to have drastic effects.

UMama hitmaker has lately been announced as a removed act from the upcoming international Jazz Festival to take place in Cape Town. The elimination to the artist line-up is due to the serious rape allegations former partner Lady Zamar made.

The Collide singer made headlines this past weekend when she shared how Sjava sexually forced himself on her. All this happened while they were dating, she revealed that she didn’t just suffer sexual abuse but emotional and physical as well.

Organisers announced the removal of the local artist via a tweet, sent late on Monday night.

The tweet stated: “PLEASE NOTE: Due to the seriousness of the allegations levelled against Sjava, the Management of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival has withdrawn Sjava’s performance from the CTIJF 2020 line up.”

The festival which will take place on 27 and 28 March 2020 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Sjava denied allegations when they first went public and stated that he also took legal action against Zamar.

“As a final statement on this matter, I write to you as my colleagues, business partners, peers and supporters to inform you that I will not be engaging on the matter of false assault and abuse levelled against me on social media or any other platform, because I have instituted legal proceedings in the High Court of South Africa and as such the matter in now sub judice,” he wrote.
