SA Rappers Fail To Make The Cut To Meek Mill’s Album

SA Rappers Fail To Make The Cut To Meek Mill’s Album. Meek Mill’s new album, Expensive Pain is finally available on streaming platforms. The American rapper Meek Mill had previously come across on social media as being willing to work with a South Ah rapper. However, it seems no rapper or producer was able to make the cut to be on the album. Meek Mill announced the tracklist of his album, with a handwritten note of his tracklist.

While the Going Bad hitmaker hadn’t confirmed that he would be working with any SA Hip Hop from the country he did express interest in doing so. A fan asked Meek Mill if he would be working with any Hip Hop acts from SA, the rapper in his response asked for suggestions as to who should he work with. The tracklist for the album including no names of SA individuals, this is an indication that no South Ah individual was afforded the opportunity to work with the U.S rapper. SA Hip Hop fans picked up on this. The 17 track album, however, does feature the likes of A$AP Ferg, Kehlani and Moneybag Yo.

Meek Mill sparking interest to work with South Ah talent opened up a conversation of how the multi-award-winning Philadpheia rapper would make his selection. Some suggested he make it about the numbers and some shared who he should turn to for advice on the matter. It seems though it wasn’t enough to get a SA Hip Hop artist the shot to work with Meek on the album. However, it doesn’t mean that the opportunity is completely lost. SA Hip Hop enthusiast plugged Meek Mill with the names of the country’s dopest Hip Hop acts to consider working with. Names such as Nasty C, A-Reece, Emtee and Cassper Nyovest were thrown in the hat.

Multi-award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest reacted to Meek’s interest and shared that he should ask Ghanaian American entrepreneur PJ Kev who he should work with. Formerly known as Kelvin Mensah, PJ Kev is a private jet broker and he is the man Cassper felt would be able to point Meek Mill in the right direction. “Ask Pj Kev. He will let you know wassup,” tweeted Cassper. Nasty C’s official DJ and producer Audiomarc, had also weighed in on the matter. According to the producer in order for the collaboration to work the numbers had to make sense. “It has to make business sense for Meek, so numbers matters,” tweeted the DJ.
