“There’s No Dead Genre Or Sound, Reason Reflects The Current State Of Youth Culture. Mzansi has now accepted the current trend of hip hop artists moving to the Amapiano genre. The genre has become part of the music culture in the SA music space. Amongst the hip hop artists in the country, Reason is the most vocal artist when it comes to supporting every sound in the music space. The former rapper has made claims that he is open to writing songs for any genre all this in the name of supporting any local sounds.

Reason shared on his Twitter TL that people should hook up with people from different cultures in Gauteng so that they get to understand the situation in the youth culture. The former rapper went on to mention that these hook ups will make people have much appreciation of the local sounds despite which genre it is.

Listen. If you live in Gauteng and you’ve never been to the Tanzania or Ethiopia parties… then you’ll never truly understand the current state of youth culture. There’s no “dead” genre or sound there. Gqom, Hip Hop, Afro Tech… they all come alive TOGETHER in one room. He tweeted.

Sizwe Alakine has come under a lot of criticism after he moved to the Yanos. But the artist highlighted that if he can write songs for different genres he is capable of singing them too. He also revealed that he will be working with Gqom artists in Durban to create more music for the South African culture. “I’m going to Durban in two weeks to song write on Gqom records. To help others do what I can do. Ask anybody around. I’m all about sharing ideas for everyone to win.” He said.

Reason has also opened up on sharing ideas, all in a bid to see the arts culture being the best through making music for the people. He has indicated that his mission is to see a win-win situation for everyone in the music culture and at the end of the day people will start embracing the current state in the youth culture. “To help others do what I can do. Ask anybody around. I’m all about sharing ideas for everyone to win.” He said.
