KO has finally shared the official music video for his single “Playback”. The single dropped mid of October and it received an amazing reception on different music platforms. The Caracara hitmaker posted on his Twitter account notifying his fans that the Playback music video is now out, and if you have missed it, you can watch it on his YouTube account.
“Last night we premiered the #PLAYBACKVid on YouTube, if you missed it check it out now here” KO has been one of the most consistent SA hip hop rappers of the last decade, now that the awards are coming up, will he finally get rewarded for the good works he has done in the SA hip hop music space?
The song came after the success of his K: HOVA single, which was released in May, and it still sounds like an upgraded display to K. O’s constancy and range as an artist. The Playback music video will do justice to the mid-tempo track, and we’re excited to see how it will perform on the big screen.
Not only that he has been consistency with his music, but Mr. Cashtime has been pursuing other projects that are outside of music. All in a bid to promote his brand through his music.
In addition, A new Skhanda World album called “Welcome To The Planet” is on the way. K.O stated (on social media) a few days ago that a new Skhanda World Welcome To The Planet album will be released on November 12th.
The entire Skhanda World family, including Loki, Roiii, Ma-E, Just Bheki, and DJ MR X, will come together for this new body of work, which will most likely be a one-of-a-kind event. We don’t know much about the album yet, such as how many tracks and collaborations we can anticipate, but you can pre-order it now to ensure you don’t miss out.
K.O. has had a successful solo career for almost a decade, and the rapper is as relevant as ever in South Africa’s hip hop industry, which appears to be under threat from the relatively young genres of gqom and amapiano.
