During an interview with MacG on Podcast And Chill YoungstaCPT was asked how he is feeling after being nominated for this prestigious award for the upcoming SAHHA. His reactions and response clearly indicated that he is not even thinking about the awards let alone winning. He mentioned that he was even surprised that he got nominated, but he alluded that he understands the politics of the industry and that made him have the real picture on why he got nominated.

The only reason it was surprising to me I know the industry politics, I know the way the game is played.” The rapper made it clear that he is not denouncing his nomination for the award, and he is grateful that his works are being appreciated in the hip hop game.

“I didn’t know that by putting me in there is an honorable mention which I’m also grateful for definitely, I like the fact that I’m being acknowledged” “I’m just confused by why would you put me in a race you know I cant win.” “My bro I lost a SAMA, so if I couldn’t win something as small seems to be in the bag, that, is way more more far-fetched than that, so I’m just being realistic its not a diss its not a snub but I have to be realistic with my expectations in life which I have done for the past thirty years of existence,” he said.
