The rapper has faced criticism after the release of his Sway In The Morning freestyle video. His behaviour in SA hip hop has brought too many questions on if he is actually a serious rapper with people like NOTA heavily criticizing his attitude.
With all the negativity towards him, the rapper has also received positive sentiments in his career. His Lemon Peeper freestyle he did sometime back got a massive reception and he attracted a slew of record labels who wanted to sign him.
Big Xhosa revealed that he was approached by record labels who wanted to pen a deal with him but he turned them down. “I’m not signing with any label. Thank you for the offers though,” he wrote.
This time around he has presented the same situation again. The rapper has disclosed that he was approached by a record label and they offered to sign him for R 100K. In a video clip he shared, the Vaccine hitmaker mentioned that he will not entertain any offer that is less than R2 Million.
“You won’t believe, a label trying to sign me for R 100K, b***ch please I need two, two million, two million, I’m the greatest. I got here with no budget, I need two million,” he said. The rapper went on and announced that he is releasing a new song and he warned SA rappers who are dropping on the same day as him to step back.
“25 February, I’m dropping, if you are dropping on the 25th of February step back, step back, because wow I’m the greatest, I’m the greatest!” He said. The rapper received massive support from his fans for refusing to sign for R100K as they alluded that Big Xhosa deserves more for being a creative genius and an entertainer.
