The prominent rappers are set to represent their Bergville native and they have started their mission at full throttle. The release of the album’s lead single Umbayimbayi marked the beginning of a great initiative in the South African music industry.

The single has propelled the rapper’s images to greater heights as they prepare for much bigger things for their new musical journey. Taking to Instagram, Big Zulu announced that Inkabi Zezwe’s first single ‘Umbayimbayi has gone Gold status 11 days after its release. “Thank you so much Mubarak you have scored Gold🥇We really appreciate @inkabizezwe,” wrote Big Zulu.

The track has been leading the radio chart for two consecutive weeks and it has garnered over 1 Million YouTube views since its release. Big Zulu and Sjava are in for greater things this year with their collaborative album set to drop in May.

Following the success of their lead single, Inkabi Zezwe announced that they will embark on a nationwide tour for their forthcoming album “Ukhamba.” “Inkabi Zezwe (@sjava_atm & @bigzulu_sa ) are going on tour. Get your tickets now.” Read the post.

The Inkabi Zezwe album tour will take place in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Capetown and Durban from June to September 2023. The tour has been made possible by Warner Music Africa, who also made it possible for South Africa to witness the greatness of collaborating by bringing together the biggest artists in the country.

“This idea started to percolate of bringing Sjava and Big Zulu together for a one-time project. We wanted to do something really special. Things didn’t immediately fall into place, meeting after meeting, putting all the pieces together and coming up with a structure that worked for all parties.” Said WMA managing director Temi Adeniji.
