The rapper has encouraged fellow rappers to make music for the fans, not for them. Taking to Twitter, Priddy Ugly has stated that he understands why musicians take so long to produce music, but he has urged his fellow rappers to release songs on time in order to reduce the fans’ frustration.

I get taking your time, but we don’t make music for ourselves. I been in sessions with artists who played me unreleased music 4 years ago, they might’ve shared the snippet 2 years ago & ‘til this day nothing has dropped. I’m just saying a understand the frustration fans go thru!” Tweeted Priddy Ugly.

The Soil hitmaker continued by defending artists signed to record labels for not releasing music. The rapper added that record labels are plagued by politics and economic concerns, so he understands why musicians take so long to release music.

Artists on labels and what not who aren’t dropping, I get it.. There’s always label politics, budgets being discussed, rollouts being planned etc..” He wrote.

Priddy Ugly continued by saying that independent rappers have no excuses for not releasing music on time. The rapper extended his sympathies for the musicians, revealing that he understands their struggles and urged them to let their music free them.

“But a lot of indie artists got no excuses, feed the fans the music, I know you going through a lot, the music will set you free.” Tweeted Priddy Ugly.

The Por Favor singer revealed that he finished working on his album in February and has entrusted the rest of the project to his fans and God. “I wrapped up recording in Feb, the rest is up to God, The Ancestors & the universe.” Said Priddy Ugly.
