The rapper took to Twitter and questioned the security features of his FNB bank card after he realised that he has been swindled R22 000. “Someone cloned one of my @FNBSA cards and they have been having a ball with my money. It took me a while to notice so I don’t know how much they really stole but I want to know how is it so easy to get a card cloned? Isn’t our money supposed to be safe with these banks?”. The rapper disregarded to reveal that the fraudster made off with R22,000 at a five-star hotel in Johannesburg. Recently, further information about Cassper Nyovest’s spin with a credit card fraudster has come to light.

According to the Daily Sun, the incident happened on May 16 at Hotel Sky, a well-liked upscale hangout in Sandton. According to the publication, the rapper opened a case at the Sandton police station after realizing that a significant amount of money had vanished from his bank account.

Cassper’s police statement revealed by the Daily Sun clearly indicated that the rapper was at the hotel as he attended an event which took place during midday.

“The complaint alleges that on 16 May 2022 at about 12:00 he was at Hotel Sky, Corner Maude and West Streets, Sandown, Sandton, where he noticed that his bank card was used at the hotel without his knowledge and was defrauded an amount of R22,000,” read a part of the police statement.

The Daily Sun also reported that the hotel Manager Mambinge was not aware of the incident. “It was not reported to the hotel that his card was used without his permission,” he said.
