“The #SAHHA2021 Robbed Him,” L-Tido Shares His Opinion On The Biggest #SAHHA2021 Snub. The 2021 SA Hip Hop Awards have come and go and what is left of us are the reactions towards each and every award. Social media was blazing, airing anger towards the awards ceremony, alluding that the whole concept and idea was poor. The constant mentioning of the Yanos during the Hip hop Awards took the rage to a whole new level.
The fanbase did not only take their anger to the ceremony setup but there was mixed reaction towards some rappers who won the awards on the night. L-Tido is amongst the people who shared concern towards some rappers who did not get much credit considering the work they have done in the rap game this year.
The rapper took to Twitter and mentioned that he believes Blxckie should have won more than one award. “Blxckie had a great year! The #SAHHA2021 robbed him,” tweeted L-Tido. Blxckie managed to walk away with the Freshman Of The Year Award even though he was nominated for Album of The Year and Best Male which were respectively won by Big Zulu.
Anyone will totally agree that the young rapper from Durban had a great year in his hip hop cameo. The huge popularity of his two prior songs “YeX4” featuring Nasty C and “Big Time Shlappa” featuring Lucas Raps, Blxckie released his first album, “B4Now,” earlier this year made him to top the charts.
Congratulations were in order for Somnyama after he was announced the MTV Base Hottest MC. As if that was not enough Blxckie’s album was also the 2nd streamed album on Spotify in South Africa. Therefore, it is clear why L-Tido shared that the young rapper deserved more at the SA Hip Hop Awards.
