Sjava Set Release Date For The Album “Isibuko”

On the 27th of January 2023, the Umama hitmaker is set to start the year on a high with a new album  Isibuko which means “mirror” in English. This was confirmed by the official 1020 Cartel Twitter account as well as Ruff himself, who might have served as executive producer on this one again given his previous work with Sjava.

Ruff took to his Instagram page and announced the release date for the rapper’s project. “27.01.2023 ____ISIBUKO Link on my bio,” he wrote.

The pronouncement also included the release of the album’s cover art, which features Sjava gazing into what appears to be a broken mirror. The mirror acts as a visual representation and gives particular attention to the album’s title, while Sjava’s gesture and the condition of the mirror may convey hidden meanings.

Isibuko will serve as the official follow-up to the 2021 Umsebenzi event, however, there is currently no information on how many music or artists will be on the album. Sjava has closed off the year with a one-man show in Durban which appeared to be a success as the rapper received so much love and praise from his fans in KZN.

Taking to Instagram, Sjava showed much gratitude to his fans supporting the one-man show with a post written “SIYABONGA.”
